Visible Man started in July 2007, when three volunteers for Barack Obama's presidential campaign decided they were fed up with the typical boxy, unflattering and just plain boring campaign t-shirts. Being fashion mavens themselves, they fantasized about wearing hip campaign tees -- shirts that would make a fashion statement as well as a political one. What they dreamed up has become the most popular campaign garb around -- the Visible Man one-of-a-kind Obama'08 t-shirts to change the world.![]() Visible Man's founders, Mary Jane Stevenson, James Hansen and Scott Safranek, met while volunteering for Obama in Los Angeles. Currently, James and Mary Jane are still in LA, organizing volunteers and spreading the word for the campaign. Scott has moved to Las Vegas, where he works as a full-time volunteer organizer for Obama for America. We are Obama supporters first, entrepreneurs second. We made our first shirts to wear ourselves and we treat every shirt as a unique opportunity to start conversations that keep our movement growing. These are the shirts that looked great during the Walk for Change in Jefferson Park. These are the shirts that sold out during Camp Obama. We don't make shirts that support other candidates. If you want something for Hillary or McCain, go to CafePress. We're Visible Man and we believe that our shirts can help change the world. So wear them often and help us spread the hope. |
